Revitalising Groups

Far East Victoria Landcare (FEVL) has received a grant to assist and revitalise Landcare Groups after difficult periods of drought, fires and COVID-19. After discussions with the groups, proposals for projects are being drawn up.

So far, groups have opted for:

  • Cann River: a luncheon by the river or at the revitalized Monaro Centre to look at current works and celebrate the works so far.

  • Jarrahmond: Contribute to the 30 years celebration event, already run

  • Goongerah: a guest speaker will be talking about Firewise gardens and Firewalls at the regular Friday Pizza night.

  • Snowy West: Wallagaraugh Wetland Bus and Boat Tour

  • Wairewa: Update Landcare Sign at Community Hall

  • Cabbage Tree: Rejuvenate gardens between Community Hall and Men’s Shed

  • Marlo: Sunday lunch at the Marlo Hotel with kids’ activities and discussions re future projects the group would like to undertake.
