About the project

Farm dams, creeks, remnant vegetation, native grasses and rocky outcrops are well-known features of farming landscapes. They are also valuable natural assets. In partnership with East Gippsland Landcare Network a series of workshops have been held on enhancing farm dams. The workshops followed the Sustainable Farms guidelines.

This guide, developed by Sustainable Farms, provides detailed technical information to support the planning and construction of farm dams, as well as dam enhancement, in order to optimise their performance.
